Revolutionary Girl Utena the Adolescence of Utena: The Adolesence of Utena $11.61 Elegance is a way of life at Ohtori Academy. For close to one hundred years, the elite boarding school has values tradition and ceremony above almost everything else. Into this academic milieu walks Utena Tenjou, a short-stressed teenaged girl who favors trim-cut boys clothing. Almost immediately, she finds herself embroiled in sword duels, knotty romantic entanglements and a string of shady alliances. There’s a cloud of mystery hanging over the campus of Ohtori and everyone Utena meets harbors a dark and twisted secret. A liberal adaptation of the movie by the same name, The Adolescence of Utena veers widely from its original source. More direct than the anime and more mature than the original manga series, this version of Chiho Saito’s fractured fairy tale blasts Utena straight into the iconic stratosphere. A group of highly creative people founded by director Kunihiko Ikuhara (Sailor Moon, Schell Bullet) that includes such storied members as master manga artist Chiho Saito (Kakan No Madonna, Lady Masquerade) and animator Shinya Hasegawa (Neon Genesis Evangelion). Their collaboration produced the Utena TV series and the movie, Revolutionary Girl Utena: The Adolescence of Utena, and recently they have produced a new work called The World of S & M. |

{Power 90 Reviews: A Great Workout That Will Kick Your Butt|Power 90 Reviews: A Workout That Will Definitely Get The Results Your Desiring
Beach Body and Personal trainer, Tony Horton, released the Power 90 workout with the intention of providing a workout routine that works out of the comfort of someones home. As a matter of fact it became so successful that Tony Horton and Beach Body released an all new and improved P90x workout routine in 2004. That program has become a household name and has sold well over 2 million units at this point. Although P90x is the new kid on the block, Power 90 continues to be one of the best workout dvds on the market. A few of the questions I asked when doing my Power 90 reviews: Is Power 90 still relevant? Can it deliver outstanding results? Has P90x completely replaced it?
First a brief overview of the Power 90 workout itself, intended to give you 90 days of training and is designed to help you pass through four stages of gradually increasing intensity as you go through six different workouts recorded on two DVDs. THere are two "sculpt circuit" sessionoa and two "Sweat Cardio" sessions, both aimed at maximum results for the length of time in the workouts. These are followed by two "Ab Ripper" routines. It is on you, the user, to decide when they are ready to move from one workout to another, Power 90 clearly states that you need to listen to your own body and progress at your own pace.
The workouts are not very long at all, with all things considered. The routines for the Sculpt and Sweat range anywhere from 29 through 42 minutes, which is a breeze. The ab routines are also fairly short running at about 4-6 minutes.
Yoga is the first thing that you'll be doing as your warm up with the Cardio Sweat video, which will then be followed by a variety of other execises. These include doing martial arts, plyometrics, kicking, and punching. All of this will be followed by a yoga cool down.
The Sculpt Circuit also begins with some stretching and light yoga, and then progresses through a weight resistance routine that is shown with both free weights and resistance bands. You will progress through a mix of different exercises and lifts in its 40 minutes duration.
What is immediately obvious by watching these workouts is that they do not have the intensity or the production values of P90X. The studio that the workout takes place is is pretty bland, and you may want to have your own music because the music isn't that great. The P90x routine is just more extreme, but also is geared towards someone that has graduated or completed the Power 90 workout so if you're new to working out I'd definitely start with Power 90.
In conclusion: The principles behind the Power 90 are very sound principles. By following the training and nutrition guide for the 90 days, you will achieve great results. You results will require your commitment and effort; Power 90 will guide you on how to achieve results, but it's up to you to do the exercises and eating correctly. No This is the logical precursor to P90X, and should be seen as a challenging routine for all people interested in going from a beginning or mid-level of fitness to a more advanced position. What is required on your is that you set aside ego and pride, and ask yourself where you are and how best to achieve the results you want.
